June 2, 2008 Textron Systems, a Textron Inc.
(NYSE: TXT) company, today announced the appointment of Rob
Powers as senior vice president, Human Resources. Powers joins
Textron Systems from Textron Financial Corporation, another
Textron Inc. company, where he led significant improvements
and efficiencies in the Human Resources function supporting
Textron Financial and Textron's corporate offices.
At Textron Systems, Powers will be responsible for areas
such as strategic Human Resources leadership, the recruitment
and retention of key talent, organizational design and effectiveness,
succession planning, and training and development.

an active leader in Textron's ongoing HR transformation as
well as inclusive workforce and employee engagement efforts.

Powers will report to Tempesta as a member of Textron Systems'
Executive Leadership Team and will continue to be a member
of Textron's Human Resources Leadership Team.
Powers brings to this position broad experience from General
Electric, Digital Equipment Corporation and the Proctor &
Gamble Company. During his 12 years with GE, he oversaw Human
Resources in support of employees in various areas of GE Power
Systems, a global $20 billion business segment of GE. Additionally,
he led the integration, restructuring and acquisition of several
organizations within GE Power Systems. Powers has a bachelor's
degree in Psychology from Keene State College.
